League of Women Voters to Provide VOTE411.org Website for
August 4 Candidate Research and Comparisons

The League of Women Voters of Berrien and Cass Counties has announced that once again their informational, data packed website, www.vote411.org, will be available for the August 4 election.

The League is urging voters to prepare for the upcoming August 4 election by visiting VOTE411.org to read and compare candidate responses to relevant issues.  Every candidate on the August 4 ballot has been invited to participate, to provide biographical information, and to write a response to the following question:  “If elected, what will be your top two priorities and how would you address them?”

VOTE411.org also helps voters find their polling place, check voting hours, learn about ballot proposals and initiative measures, and read tips about voting in Michigan.  What about voters who do not know their state or county district?  Simply by typing in their home address, VOTE411.org will give them that information.

Voters need simple, helpful tools to help them navigate the voting process and Election Day.   VOTE411.org is the nation’s premiere online election resource, and the League of Women Voters of Berrien & Cass Counties has added a local voter’s guide to VOTE411.org so that voters in this area can learn about their federal, state, county, and local candidates.

These days, voters have many ways to connect and share the things that matter most to them. This year, their ballot is the ultimate ‘app’. Remember that in many communities where only one party is represented, the winners of the primary election on August 4th will win the general election in November. Don't "skip" the primary!  Learn about the candidates on VOTE411.org before August 4!  And be sure to vote Absentee by mail (no reason is required) or in person!

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization meaning that it never endorses or opposes candidates or political parties.  LWV influences public policy through education and advocacy.  It encourages informed and active participation in government.
